The nutrient ratios for corals and sponges in reef tanks are ideal when nitrates and phosphates are present in the lowest concentrations. Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance uses a mix of select organic carbon compounds and suitable inorganic nutrients to promote the natural integration of nitrates and phosphates into additional biomass. This lowers the nutrients in the water and simultaneously prevents deficiencies of nitrates or phosphates.

Dosing is based on the age of the aquarium: For new and young tanks (0-1 year*), no more than 0.25 ml per 100 l of tank content should be administered daily. For tanks of medium age (1-2 years*), up to 0.5 ml/100 l can be dosed daily, and for mature and older units (>2 years*), between 0.5 and 1 ml per 100 l aquarium water. A dose of 1 ml per 100 l of aquarium content should not be exceeded under any circumstances. At the beginning of dosing Tropic Marin NP-Bacto Balance, the phosphate concentration should be between 0.02 mg/ l and 0.1 mg/ l. To enhance the effect of Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance, the daily dose can be increased by 0.25 ml per 100 l tank content every two weeks, though never exceeding the maximum dosage of 1 ml/100 l daily. It is best added at the beginning of the lighting phase. If cloudiness occurs after increasing the dose of Tropic Marin NP-Bacto-Balance, it is recommended to return to the previous dosage.

Iâm trying to cycle a 10 gal fish tank. I have been adding your biological booster for a month now and nothing is happening. The ammonia is holding steady at .5 ppm and Iâm not seeing any nitrites. Is there a way I can test to see if there are actually live bacteria in the booster. Iâve checked everything else I can think of.
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina
Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt

After using metronidazole 400mgÃ2 tablets in 75 litre aquarium tank, my two parrot fish has thread like some seeing near gills and genital area ? How to treat them ?
I noticed bloat in my flowerhorn about two weeks ago. It was there when I fed him and went away when I didn't. So I treated him with Epsom salt soaked pellets, bloat was present then. Then I noticed white poop so I stopped feeding entirely and added metronidazole 400 to the tank. Didn't work as I only saw white poop, so I added the medication into his food and now I can see brown poop hanging from a clear poop sticking out of his butt. Earlier the poop didn't stick out of his butt. What to do?
