I have a 12 pound cat. First night we put this together he jumped from the top ledge to the bottom and it broke under his weight. Do not recommend.

I have three cats, one that I just got a few days before purchasing this tree. My two older cats both come to inspect it (and it's box) while I was still putting it together. It's pretty sturdy except the first "perch" but that's only with my biggest cat and he's heavier because of a tumor. All in all, a great purchase for a great price. It was pretty simple to put together but there are not any real "written" instructions, just pictures.

I was looking for a cat tree that only had platforms and multiple scratching posts. This one is perfect except that it is so wobbly my cat knocked it over when I first got it. I now have it shoved up against the wall so that it doesn’t move but now the top platform is crooked. My cat doesn’t seem to mind tho, she likes the scratch it all over and even plays with the little ball on the string that is attached. Just wish there was a bigger base and a sturdier post.

Would this be good for a 17lb cat?

    Hello Trigger101: This cat tree is meant for cats 12 pounds and under. The dimensions of this cat tree may be a little small for one that big. The top platforms is 13", the second platform is 20" long by 13" wide and the lower platform is 11.5" wide by 15" longer. These may not be large enough to accommodate your cat. Do the various levels twist/adjust. I will be trying to fit it in a small corner. My concern is that the bottom level must stay at the angle pictured. Can the levels be turned at all?

    I'm about 5' 2" and it's almost as tall as me. It comes up almost to my shoulders so it's a decent height for perching. It is very wobbly though, so you'll have to engineer something to hold it down.
