We purchased this to be placed on the wall next to my cat's large cat-tree as an addition. The two lower shelves don't extend very far beyond the box platform, giving my cat very little space to jump back down onto from the box. Easy to get up, very difficult to get back down. He prefers just jumping from the upper half of this to his other large cat tree. He likes sitting in the hammock and in the box, but basically does not use anything below that. Without another cat tree nearby, he would not be able to go up *and* down this tree because of the lower two shelves. The product itself is okay-quality. The carpeting isn't very grip-able, but it's soft and looks good. The assembly was difficult. Company did not provide adequate instructions or parts. Guide said there were three types of screws - there were actually two types included. Guide was just a photo diagram of assembly - pieces did not match the actual parts that we had. We just winged it, and are handy enough that it worked out. For the sale price I paid, it's a good value. If I had paid full price, I would not be happy with this purchase. * tl;dr: Cat uses part of it because the shape doesn't allow an easy way to climb down once up. Bad assembly instructions. On sale, good value, but don't pay full price.

Our two adult cats really love this they like being high up on the wall and off the floor away from the dogs. It's built very well very sturdy and install was quick and easy.

I have 8 cats and they are always looking to climb and get out of each other's way. They slide on the shelves I have but it's so hard to find affordable And attractive shelves for them with carpet. This is perfect! Very sturdy and wide platforms even for my fatties! They Love it, climbed on it before I could finish putting it on the wall!
