The top seat on this is for a kitten. I have a 9 pound cat who can't fit in the top. Part of her is always hanging out and none of my other cats even try because it's too small for them. All I know is the top is 10 inches. Does anyone have a 10 inch cat bed that their cats enjoy? No, because that's too small and so is a perch on a cat tree. I have deep regrets about this purchase. Hold out for something larger for your cats. They deserve a tree they can get comfy in.

First the good news — cat likes it and is using it although it took some time. I have a small apartment and I think my cat is now more calm now that she has a little place of her own. Also, pretty sturdy. No danger of tipping over. Bad news — it took less than a week for my cat to tear-off the catnip toy. Even worse, she chewed-off the elastic thing that it was dangling from and it disappeared. I think she may have swallowed it although she is fine. For the amount of money I spent you would think they’d attach the toy with metal beads or something else the cat can’t destroy. I would advise that if you have a playful cat that you just snip the toy and elastic off to prevent any problems. While it was fairly easy to put together, no amount of twisting the screws could get the legs completely flush. Again, for the amount of money you spend…

So poorly made, it falls apart when my cat jumps onto it. I will reinforce it so it stays together, but whomever designed the thing didn’t have cats. But it was cheap and it’s the right size so I will gather reinforcements, secure it as it should have been and keep it though I’m a little mystified what they were thinking not securing the top and bottom sections together properly.

The top perch is 10 inches - way too small for a full grown cat. I have three regular size cats who won't even try and one very small cat who tries to squeeze in, but part of her still hangs out of it.
