stairs are to slanted and not long enough for fat chi to get up its no use to me

We bought this to help our older dog get up to the bed easier. Unfortunately, the treads are too small and the angle is too steep for our 16 lb. Pugapoo. We also bought the Easy Step II pet stairs for the couch. The treads are larger and the angle is less steep on the 2 step version. This one will work for our bed too, so we bought another one. The 3 step will returned.

In all fairness let me just say I did read reviews and I saw one that mentioned that steps were slanted. I should of paid more attention but I had read like ten reviews?! Anyway they are slanted and my dog is not crazy about that at all. I got them because they were larger than others i had purchased and I thought he’d be happier but no. They are very nice put together very easily and are very sturdy. I don’t know quite yet if it’s the click of his toe nails when he first starts out or what but he’s very Leary. It’s very frustrating for me because he goes up/down steps all the time but he’s not into these. And he definitely will NOT go down them from the bed. And that was why I got them cause I’m tired of lifting him up and down in the middle of the night or whenever. He’s 14lbs part chihuahua and?? Has longer legs. Infact measurements of steps are actually a little shorter than the backyard stairs that he runs up and down all day long. They really are slanted down alot keep that in mind I’m trying to figure out how to build a wedge to make them more level.

This Easy Step III is decently made, doesn't have a lot of give to it after it is put together, which is great. It is light weight, easy to carry, and when set up right stores in a small area well. It would be great if the bottom and middle step were made longer, I have a 13 yr. young Dingo/Red Merle, she is about 28 inches long (neck to starting of tail), she just barely has the room on second step going down then the last step is hit and miss. Going down is different than up. The steps are slighty slanted. Remember...Petco does have a money back guarantee! Thank you Petco

My dogs take 2-3 attempts before they make it up to my bed. Bought these so that once they can no longer jump, they will still be able to get onto the bed. So far, they haven't figured them out. Utilizing treats to train them.

I bought this for my little girl so she could get on the bed. She loves it. I say lets go to bed, and she runs in the bedroom , I say, "Up" and up she goes. She will come down also as long as I am there to tell her "NO" when she wants to jump off the end of the bed. I will tap the step and say "Down" and she comes right down. Jumping off is just quicker.

Steps are well made and easy to clean. My Yorkie loved it as she can climb right up into the bed and run back down. Easy to put together and much better than the cardboard stairs that fall apart. Great product!
