The calcium to phosphorous ratio is extremely important for reptile health, and a reptile's diet should be in the range between 1:1 and 2:1. Because Reptilinks naturally contain a lot of bone and connective tissue from larger prey, the calcium to phosphorous ratio is considerably higher than feeder rodents. This means your reptile can eat more fruits, vegetables and insects while still maintaining a perfect calcium to phosphorus ratio, crucial for preventing metabolic bone disease (MBD).
