The Nano Cauliflower Coral is a hardy, fast growing coral that is excellent for starter hobbyists. This soft coral is unique because it is not as sensitive to handling like many soft corals, and they are easy to propagate. These will grow very quickly once established, so be sure to provide enough space between them and their neighbors. It is recommended not to house this coral with Acropora sp., due to frequent chemical competition with SPS corals; if they must be housed together, you should use aggressive carbon filtration to prevent harm or stress. Water flow should be turbulent (moderate to strong) and intermittent to help reduce mucus build up; for this requirement, a powehead or wavemaker is highly recommended. Lastly, it's important to feed Cauliflower Corals a diet designed for filter feeders, as these corals will shrink when starving.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
