Cool running Energy-efficient LED light fixture provides excellent general purpose lighting for freshwater and saltwater Aquariums. Ultra-slim (9000K) LED's deliver full spectrum light intensity ideal for Aquatic Plants and saltwater Aquariums. Lighting features two-mode ON/OFF switch (Full Spectrum, Lunar Blue and OFF positions) so you can manually transition from Full Spectrum to lunar. The entire length of LED board is protected by a clear Poly-Carbonate sheet that protects LEDs from moisture damage. The sheet is easy to wipe clean and easy to replace if salt builds up. I got a lED fish light for my fish tank and I only got one light for one side so far and where the light is its growing a brown algae really bad and the other side without the light isn't. Do certain lights cause algae. If so, what lights don't and what type of lighting is the best? I have two filters in my tank and it's only one side so I dont think it would be anything else

I dont know if you are a tropical fish specialist. But there is something going on in my tank and need help diagnosing it. My corydora has two raised growths ..one at the base of its fin. And one under the eye. My pleco seems a bit tattered too. A little flashing was happening with my yoyo loach also. That's now stopped after a water change.
My red eared slider is not basking even though I brought a uvb light for her just like one of the pet coach vets told me because he has soft shell.I place the light on top of a Zilla screen cover but she still don't get on.I can't really dry dock her because I have a hood for my uvb light.How can I make her to bask and is the Zilla cover okay for her?

Is it safe to buy a UV Sterilizer Green killer filter for my turtles? The water gets dirty really fast and I've pretty much tried everything, but the algae keeps growing fast. The problem is that I've seen a lot of negative reviews on that filter, saying that it got their fish killed. Now, I've done some research on that and found out that that UV lights could damage both animals and humans, however the very few reviews that were written by turtle owners were positive. Is it totally safe?
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
