Questions
Does the top of the bed stay up and open? Is there a wire or something to keep it open? Generally what size cat would fit in this bed? 10-13 lbs? Thank you.
- Ours has stayed open, but there is no wire to help out. Our 10# cat fits well. My best guess is that a 13# cat would fit, too, but not much bigger. It is so plush and thick, on the bed and all around! I call it her "Hershey's Kiss Bed." LOL

How is this item packaged? Is it sealed in plastic? Is there a manufacturer box in addition to a Petco shipping box? Was it shipped in manufacturer box? Thank you.
- It comes packaged folded in a plastic bag inside a Petco box.

How large is the package in which this bed comes? I'll be taking it abroad in a suitcase and I would like to know if it's too big to carry. Thanks!
- It would likely be easier to take it out of the box to travel with. You will need to contact Petco directly to find out the size of their boxes.

will it keep my outdoor feral cat warm outside 40 degrees?
- While our self-warming products are great for the indoors, they are not designed to return enough body heat for the cold outdoor temperatures of winter. Rather, they are designed to elevate the temperature of a pet bed that is already around room temperature. For outdoor pets, we recommend using the Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Bed, Lectro-Kennel, or Extreme Weather Kitty Pad. These are made for the outdoors and will provide enough heat for an outdoor setting during the cold winter months.

I am getting a hedgehog and have been told to get a small enclosed space to put in the cage for sleeping. Recommendations???
So I took in a stray that is at least five years old and has rather obviously had it rough. I am keeping him segregated and also set up a cat condo for him in said room, which he tends to stay in, sleeping (the condo, I mean). I bought him this nice, plush self warming bed that he is absolutely rejecting. Seriously, he'd rather sleep on bare floor than this bed. But he'll rub on it and lean against it to sleep. Why does my guy hate his bed? *note, I have provided him with soft blankets he loves.
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.

What type of bed would you suggest for my miniature dachshund? She is 3 1/2 months old. She gets cold easily & sleeps w/ me in my bed. It's about 90 - 95 degrees f in my house about now and my cat hasn't moved all day, I checked his breathing and he seems to be doing okay but he hasn't drank all day, he's a flame point Siamese..
At home we have out thermostat for when we are home at 22.5° celcius, but when we leave or go to sleep it goes to ~18°C. Since we're in Canada and we have really cold winters will my cat be cold when the temperature in the house goes down to 18?
