Remove test strip from foil pack, dip pad into aquarium water and then remove. Do not shake excess water off of strip. Wait 15 seconds and the compare the pH pad color to the color chart on the foil wrap. To adjust pH, add correct pH tablets. An important part of maintaining healthy pH levels in your aquarium is monthly water changes. Be sure to use a water conditioner such as startright when adding water to your aquarium. Store in a cool, dry area out of direct sunlight.

I believe my 50 lbs. 1yr. old bulldog has a u.t.i. due to long use of predinisone. Anyway, I just received ph test strips. What range would let me know if it is u.t.i.? The strips ph range are 5.5-8.0, There were no other instructions in the pack.

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Took my 1 yr old male cat Bailey to vet for not seeing him pee that much. She inserted him and got some urine (said he had a little crust down there, not sure what she meant but he does sit on litter). Sample showed no crystals or blood but his ph level was 8, which she said could have been from eating 2 hours prior. I know ph should be at least a 6, how can i help get it to that? I did buy some bladder support powder from Mercola pets and i put a small ice cube in his food. Thank you.

I was having 6 fishes in which 2 were small silver gold fishes,2 Angle fishes and 2 gold fishes. The both silver gold fishes died as well as one angle fish. I don't know why they all keep dying as I have provided them with good water, filter,and food.
