Spot clean your Silent Runner wheel daily or as needed, we recommend Kage Kleen cleaning solution. Wash your pet's wheel once per week or as needed with warm soapy water. We recommend disassembling the wheel during cleaning. Rinse and dry completely before re-assembling the wheel and returning it to your pet's cage. Remove metal hardware before washing. The plastic parts of the wheel are dishwasher safe, top rack only.

If my hamster runs around in a 7 inch ball is a 6.5 inch wheel to small for her? She fits just right in her ball since she is a bigger hamster (teddy bear) so I worry that if I order a smaller wheel she won't fit

Almost a week ago now I bought my first Dwarf Hamster and I'm starting to have some concerns about him. I know they are nocturnal but when I looked it up it said they should sleep approximately 8 hours a day where he seems to be sleeping mostly day and night only coming out 3 to 4 times a day. He also has not used his wheel once and the recommened cage seems to be too small as I can't fit a house inside so he has to burrow and hide. He used to let me pet him the first two days but hides now.
