I bought this cat tree for my cats for Christmas. I ordered it online because they didn’t have it in stock at the store near me. When the box arrived you could tell the box itself was beat up a bit. No big deal. On Christmas Day I went to put it together and there are no instructions (not that big of a problem) I figure I can put it together by the picture. Then I notice there is not any hardware. So I go to the website to figure out what to do. They are closed. Which was good for them. But it says I have to return to the store or pay a fee to have it shipped back. The box says it weighs 85 lbs!!!

Never received the package and your call center is a joke. I have tried calling and getting a replacement shipment twice. Both times they say they are unable to process. They say they are going to send me an email and I never get an email. I don’t think I will ever order from Petco again.

i hate to leave a bad review because my cat likes it and customer service was nice, but the product has flaws. ill start with the good. there were no missing pieces and assembly was fairly easy. i was able to do it alone in a few hours. the base, platforms, and condos are made of wood. the fabric is soft, my cat kept laying on it while i was putting it together. the cat tree seems pretty sturdy and safe. i swapped some of the fabric covered posts and scratching posts without issue (if you compare my picture to the product picture youll see what i mean) when i had issues, customer service was polite and sent me another one for free and i didnt have to return the first one. now for the bad: it took two boxes to put one cat tree together. both boxes had faulty pieces. the top condo from the first box had a large crack in it. then the same piece from the second box also had a crack, but one thats much smaller and im just going to fix with wood glue. i think this couldve been caused during shipping since the first box was nearly destroyed when it arrived. then a scratching post from the second box broke while i tried screwing it on. i was able to take pieces from the first box to replace it. in conclusion, the completed cat tree is great, but i couldnt have done it without two sets of pieces to replace the bad ones.

My cat is a big boy - 20lbs. - and this tree is perfect for him! He fits comfortably in the nooks and on the ledges, and the tree is sturdy enough that it didn’t shake. I found it difficult to assemble, but a handy friend of mine got it set up in an hour. Highly recommend. Leo loves it!
