By looking at the picture, how or where does the grill part slide out to clean? I understand how the tray slides out just not the grill.

This is a great question, thank you for reaching out! The Grill itself does not slide out, only the waste tray. To clean the grill, you would remove the top part of the cage and remove the grill to clean. We hope this information helps, have a great day!
