My dog Zeus has recently developed a fear over getting his claws clipped, I have tried restraining and also letting him come to me on his own but he is just to afraid. I have contacted the local veterinarian hospital and they want to charge over $200. I have some training in veterinary assistance and am fully capable of trimming his nails myself. Is there an at home medication I can give him to do this myself? He is about 85 pounds. I also already have trazadone if that is a suggestion.

Bandit will be 4 soon I was going to have his teeth cleaned but people are saying once you have it done it takes the enamel off then there teeth will start to get bad. Why would enamel come off??? Vet says he only has a little plaque. Should I hold off or have it done. Some say have it done other say no. I don’t what to do now. My cat is 19. He has the start of kidney disease and a heart murmur. His teeth are rotting; causing him extreme pain. Every other month he gets really sick and stops eating. I take him in, he is given antibiotics and he then gets better. My vet suggested that his teeth should be extracted but it's risky. She will do it but she would rather have me take him to a specialist. I can't afford to spend 5000 him so the specialist is out. I am scared to lose him. How risky is it at the regular vet?
