Nikki is adorable! Thanks for including pictures! Yes, PetSmile is expensive, but it is one of the only toothpastes to actually be approved by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Here is a list of their approved products. http://www.vohc.org/VOHCAcceptedProductsTable_Dogs.pdf PetSmile is what I use with my dogs. (Last year they ran a 25% off sale before Christmas, so I stocked up!) Yes, it is fine to use Dawn on Nikki's feet daily, but I suspect any gentle cleaner would be fine as well. You may have to experiment to find the best shampoo for her. I have been very pleased with EarthBath products, so you might want to try their Oatmeal and Aloe shampoo for itch relief. https://earthbath.com/product/oatmeal-aloe-shampoo/ There are also prescription itch relief shampoo and conditioner products if needed that you can talk to your vet about. My dog keeps getting sick lately and no energy and I have noticed when he has thrown up or pooped not there was something in it it almost look like some type of worm or a larvae and he's had a lot of hair fall out and raised bumps on his skin it has
I am so sorry Lucky isn't feeling well. The hair falling out and bumps can definitely be allergies. I would also recommend giving a flea and tick prevention in pill form. The reason for this is it is used off label for skin mites. This is just to cover all basis. I would also recommend treating for allergies and if there is a skin infection. Unfortunately, the picture is not clear enough to determine the skin issue. With regards to the worms you are seeing, I would recommend a stool sample to make sure there are no intestinal parasites. I am concerned that Lucky is vomiting and would recommend discussing this with your veterinarian to see what is going on with him regarding the vomiting. If Lucky is on heartworm prevention then it is less likely for him to have intestinal parasites. I would discuss a general deworming with your veterinarian. The pictures are not clear enough to determine what is in the vomit or stool. If the worms look like spaghetti they are most likely r

Adopting a new dog is so much fun! Whenever bringing a new dog into the home, it should be done slowly with the existing animals already there to make the transition smoothly. The new dog should be kept separated from the other animals when home alone to avoid any problems, and their interactions should be monitored when you are home so you can separate them at any problem. I'm not sure if you have any additional animals in the home, but if you have cats for example, it's normal they will hiss at the dog. Do not allow them to swipe at the dog, separating them right away if you notice the cat getting upset. Also do not allow the dog to chase the cats. If you don't have any other animals in your home, then just be patient with the dog as it acclimates to his new house. Moving into a new home can be stressful, and some dogs may not eat or drink at first. This will pass in time. Both these diets would probably be good options for Lucky but it's important to double check with your veterinarian first. Hi, thanks for using Boop by Petco! I would put her on a Glucosamine AND Omega 3 fish oils. I like Dasquinn treats and for fish oils I prefer VRS Omega Benefits but it is a liquid. Otherwise try Nordic naturals.
